Today (23 July), State Secretary for Economic Affairs Dr Patrick Rapp honoured the current winners of the competition "100 Places for Industry 4.0 in Baden-Württemberg" by video message. A total of eight digitalisation solutions in the production environment were awarded prizes, which companies and institutions successfully implement in their everyday operations. Among them is Tool-Arena GmbH, which develops and provides a manufacturer-independent online marketplace for the machining industry.
"Industry, medium-sized businesses and start-ups in Baden-Württemberg are leading the way in the implementation of Industry 4.0 - this is impressively confirmed by the projects we have awarded prizes to today," emphasised the State Secretary on the occasion of the awards. "Baden-Württemberg will only remain a leading innovation and business location in Europe if the small and medium-sized enterprises in the state continue to make courageous progress in digitalisation. With the award ceremony, we want to make tangible and visible Industrie 4.0 solutions from medium-sized industry and start-ups that create added value even better known."
With the current thematic focus "Resilient Value Creation", the competition was looking for, among other things, solutions that could significantly improve the resilience of business and production processes in times of the Corona pandemic by means of new digitalisation solutions and thus maintain production. In the current award, however, prizewinners from other areas of Industrie 4.0 were also honoured.
